Back by popular demand.  This happens to be one of my favorite posts ever!  We return to the topics of Sweet Talking, Con Type, Rescue Me, and Asset-less Men.  Today…tales of a S.C.R.A.M. and how to counterattack!!!

I was talking with some of the ladies over at BallerAlert.com about S.C.R.A.M.S. and we traded personal stories.  It continues to amaze me just how many women are expose to these dudes and how horrific their attempts are at degrading and conning women across the globe.  Listen to some of the tales…

“Handy” SCRAM: My personal story.  This Latino impressed me because he had no children, wasn’t married, and appeared to be ambitious.  He would go out of his way to help me with things like helping me move and fixing things around my place.  Awesome!  Then I started to recognize SCRAM signs…He lived with his parents, told me he was in jail for 5 years, no car, and his expense was a weed habit.  He would spend dough on me for dates but I had to chauffeur! Hell naw…

“Co-Sign” SCRAM:

This reader said her dude had a house in his mama’s name, car leased in his daddy’s name, claimed “ownership” of businesses that didn’t exist.  Lucky for this smart lady she learned to validate business cards and googling for verfication.

“Penetrating” SCRAM:

This reader said she an across these wannabe hotshot SCRAMS who wore fine jewelry, flexed sweet rides, and retorted plans of “deals” they were working on. They just moved to town so they’re crashing in hotels or living with relatives.  Come to find out the cars belong to their baller chicks and they are scouting for a more lucrative lady “investory”…Lucky for this reader she got hip to the game and now has copped a worthy hubby!

• Evaluate the “story” and investigate its validity
• Watch the guys that cheer “team effort” and see whats in it for YOU
• Don’t let a guy put a business license or any titles in YOUR name
• Refer a guy that asks for $ to the nearest bank to apply for a loan
• Be mindful of your social networking scenes
• Do you come off as being too gullible? Change it up…
• Don’t offer to help out a guy too early in your relationship
• Let a guy know early on that you are looking for a 50/50 situation
• If you want to run a SCRAM away, beg HIM about borrowing loot
• Learn more about him by sizing up his family & friends, you’re only as good as the folks in your inner circle
